Enjoy the Museum galleries during an interactive story time with CAM Educators followed by an art activity in the CAM Studio. Each month’s children’s book will explore a theme taken from the Museum’s collection and the history and culture of Cape Ann.
This month, children will follow Cassie to Window on the Marsh, a special exhibition of paintings by Martin Johnson Heade and photographs by Martha Hale Harvey. In the gallery, CAM Educators will read My Friend Earth, written by Patricia MacLachlan and illustrated by Francesca Sanna. Inspired by Heade’s paintings, children can draw their own versions of the Great Marsh in all four seasons!
