Wondering where to start your visit? Wanting to learn more about Museum pieces? Explore the galleries and experience the Museum’s collection with a docent-led highlights tour. Whether you’re a first-time or returning visitor, a highlights tour is a great way to tour current works on display and get an overview of Cape Ann art, history, and culture. Join a tour for 10 minutes or 45 and discover something new! 

What is a docent? 

Docents are community volunteers who have knowledge of Cape Ann history and of the Museum’s artwork and artifacts on display. These volunteers receive training through the Museum’s Docent Program. Docent guides lead highlight tours of the Museum’s collection and a variety of other specialty tours.
