This spring, join local printmaker Mary Rhinelander for a six-week studio course on block printing in color. This course will explore several multicolor block printing techniques including jigsaw, reduction and multiblock. Students will work with unmounted linoleum and a limited palette of ink and will have the opportunity to print on an original Folly Cove press used by Mary Maletksos (1918-1993).  The press was donated to the Museum by Montserrat College of Art for use in the CAM Studio. 

Rhinelander studied printmaking at Harvard and The Art Students League in NYC. She received an MFA from the SMFA in Boston and is delighted to help keep the passions of the Folly Cove Designers alive on Cape Ann.   

Prerequisite: Some experience preferred; this class builds on the Introduction to Block Printing Courses at the Museum.
