The Cape Ann Museum will host virtual book club meetings via Zoom beginning in October and running through May. A Museum docent and staff member will participate to facilitate discussion, to allow for a flow of ideas, and to provide connections to the collections and history of Cape Ann. For November, the 2021-2022 CAM Book Club is reading The House on Ipswich Marsh: Exploring the Natural History of New England as well as Swimming to the Top of the Tide: Finding Life Where Land and Water Meet, which will be discussed on Thursday, November 18 from 10:30-12:00 pm. Patricia Hanlon, author of Swimming to the Top of the Tide, gave a talk at the Cape Ann Museum this summer. The recording is available here. 

All community members are encouraged to read along and keep an eye out for related programming and exhibits this year. The book club is free and open to all, but space is limited and reservations are required.
