With the holiday season in sight, we are excited to invite you to join us for the 5th Annual Gloucester’s So Salty, a festival sponsored by the Cape Ann Museum in partnership with Discover Gloucester.
This annual event brings over 2,000 people to the downtown area each January to shop at local stores, enjoy family friendly activities, visit the Museum Courtyard and find ice sculptures sponsored by local businesses and organizations.
The 2026 Gloucester’s So Salty takes place Saturday, January 24th and Sunday, January 25th, 2026, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
While the downtown Museum is temporarily closed for renovations we welcome you to visit us in the Museum’s Courtyard to see the ice sculptures and pick up a map of the weekend’s activities!
Your business or organization can choose from three fun ways to join in the Salty Fun!
1. Sponsor an Ice Sculpture
Size: On the Google form, indicate your choice for size and location.

Design: You choose the design. We will send an email requesting a digital image for reference (no logos please); a sketch, clip art, photo or illustration are all good.
Your logo: Email your logo to be displayed on a complimentary sign. (Full color, pdf, PNG, jpg, prints approximately 8″ x 8″)
Payment: Pay by check or call with a credit card. Deadline is December 27, 2025.
Co-sponsor an Ice Sculpture: Co-sponsoring an ice sculpture with other businesses is a wonderful way to participate. Please have one person in the group serve as point person. Fill out one Google Form for all.
2. Host an activity or event at your location
Hosting a fun activity at your location is a wonderful way to encourage visitors to stop in. Kids and their families will love it! You choose the activity and day(s)/times. We welcome your creativity.
3. Offer Shopping Incentives
Encourage shopping locally with a special discount or offer. So Salty has been a great time for local businesses to invite people into stores for a little post-holiday shopping.
Get listed!
List your activity, event or special offer with CAM and Discover Gloucester. Your will be included in three places: The So Salty Brochure, which visitors pick up at CAM and includes a map of all sculpture, on the CAM website, and through Discover Gloucester. The fee for a listing is $25.00 and goes directly to help pay for festival costs.
