| Cape Ann Museum presents Hammers on Stone — The Granite Industry & Cape Ann, a show that explores the history, artistry and impact of Cape Ann’s granite quarrying industry through the museum’s “extensive holdings of objects and archival materials related to the industry,” according to a press release. Along with explaining and examining the history of the industry, the work on display – a combination of artifacts, paintings, sculptures, prints and more – brings to life the everyday workers who, through their labor, provided the “stones for roads, buildings, and construction all over New England and the world.” The exhibit is coupled with a number of educational talks, workshops and programming throughout the duration of the show.
