It is not often that we can walk into Federal rooms with authentic carpets and wallpapers. The Elias Davis House in Gloucester, Mass., just re-opened after a major restoration project, invites us to do exactly that. In 2017 rooms were papered in reproduction wallpapers and in 2019 they were fitted with reproduction Brussels carpeting.
