Winter Shorts Docent Guided Tours
Saturday, January 19
Community Programs, Gallery Talk or Tour
Learn more about the Cape Ann Museum through a Winter Shorts specialty tour, offered at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, 1/5, 1/19 and 1/26. Each tour focuses on three discreet areas of the collection—sign up for one or more—a great way for members and nonmembers alike to learn about the Museum and its collections. Free for Museum members, Cape Ann Residents or with Museum admission.
On January 19, R Foundation’s Pat Earle presents Practical Art Objects, objects not necessarily made as "Art" but items made for everyday use. Today they no longer serve the purpose for which they were created, but remain as beautiful items on their own. Next up, longtime CAM docent and art enthusiast Trina Smith takes to the sky in With my Head in the Clouds, some paintings by Dorothy Arnold, a closer look at Arnold's Crane Beach landscapes. Lastly, journey into the Captain Elias Davis House on the Landscapes and Seascapes of the Davis House tour.
Each tour last approximately 20 minutes with time to transition in between. Come for one or all! Space is limited, reservations required. Sign up online at Eventbrite or call (978) 283-0455 x10.
