Winter Shorts Docent Guided Tours

Saturday, January 5

10:30 a.m. Community Programs Gallery Talk or Tour

Learn more about the Cape Ann Museum through a Winter Shorts specialty tour, offered at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, 1/5, 1/19 and 1/26. Each tour focuses on three discreet areas of the collection—sign up for one or more—a great way for members and nonmembers alike to learn about the Museum and its collections. Free for Museum members, Cape Ann Residents or with Museum admission.

On January 5, Gloucester native Jill Carter starts off with Copy Cats, a closer look at artwork featuring twins, the same subject matter by different artists, multiple views of the same place, and more! Next, Manchester-by the Sea’s John Huss presents Face to Face. Meet the artists and subjects of some of CAM’s most provocative portraits and hear their fascinating stories. Finally, former Gloucester teacher Heidi McGrath brings us Jinnee Says Do it! Enjoy a deep dive to learn more about Virginia Lee Burton as educator and dynamic leader of the Folly Cove Designers.

Each tour last approximately 20 minutes with time to transition in between. Come for one or all! Space is limited, reservations required. Sign up online at Eventbrite or call (978) 283-0455 x10.
