DESCRIPTION:Friday\, July 17\, 2025\n10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.\nDowntown Campus\n27 Pleasant Street\, Gloucester\, MA 01930\nCAM Members $15\, Non-Members $25.\nRegistration Required \nDelve into the 19th century on this tour through the neighborhoods and waterfront areas that inspired the artwork of native son Fitz Henry Lane (1804-1865). Learn how Lane rose from modest beginnings in the pre-Civil War era to worldwide recognition as a marine painter and why\, even today\, numerous artists journey to Cape Ann to find inspiration in its light and beauty.  \nStroll with a CAM Docent for about 1 1/2 hours as you loop around downtown Gloucester. Please note that some sidewalks on the tour are rugged and uneven and not all fit the width of wheelchairs or walkers.
