Building on the Museum’s recent special exhibition, New Acquisitions & Little Seen Treasures, Head Librarian & Archivist Trenton Carls will share what’s new in the CAM Library & Archives' Collection! Over the past few years, the CAM L&A has added thousands of books, newspapers, and archival documents including sail plans, maps, and an estimated one million photographs to its holdings. If you’ve missed news of these recent acquisitions or want to learn more about how researchers can access and use them, this is the event for you.

Trenton Carls is the Head Librarian & Archivist at the Cape Ann Museum and since joining the team in November 2019, he has been focused on increasing discoverability and accessibility to CAM’s library and archival collections through expanded open hours, increased promotion, and by digitizing holdings. Trenton also led the Museum’s online periodical, CAM Connects which highlights its art, artifacts, and archival documents in regularly released themed eblasts. Trenton holds a Master of Library & Information Science degree from Dominican University in Chicago, Illinois.

When attending the event, please have your ticket ready and present it to a Visitors Services Representative upon arrival.
