Community Programs

Paint Gloucester icons in the CAM Courtyard with Art Haven; performances and art exhibits by Gloucester public schools all day.

Art Haven brings oversize canvas and paints to the CAM Courtyard for the day of large-scale creation! Families, friends, and classmates will work side by side to paint Gloucester’s neighborhood icons as banners. Come inside the Museum to cool off and view a year’s worth of visual arts projects from Gloucester Public Schools. For more information and a performance schedule visit: http://thinkthebest.org/may-12-2018-arts-festival/. No registration required.

For the last 10 years the Gloucester Public School District and Gloucester Education Foundation have organized this powerful community event which highlights the artistic gifts of the students in our city. This celebration features art and performances from children in every school in the Gloucester Public School District. Paintings, ceramics, photography, woodworking, poetry, theater pieces and musical performances will be on display throughout the downtown area — in local banks, City Hall, Sawyer Free Library, the Cape Ann Museum, and the Sculpture Park.
