Walk through the gallery with Weaver in this intimate gallery talk on Thursday, May 11, 2023. One of the area’s most beloved artists, Jeff Weaver, is the subject of a special exhibition at the Cape Ann Museum. This Unique Place features oil paintings, pastels and charcoals, all focusing on the built and nature landscape of Cape Ann. Gloucester has been Weaver’s home for 50 years—nearly his entire mature career—and the city continues to fascinate him. His artwork captures an old city as it continues to evolve, a city with a long history that is sometime revered and other times overlooked, a city linked to the sea, a city like no other.
A mural and sign painter before he turned to landscape painting, Weaver has shown his work widely including at the Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport, the New Britain Museum of Art, and here on Cape Ann at the North Shore Arts Association and the Rockport Art Association & Museum.
Space is limited and registration is required for the event.
