Enjoy free admission to the Cape Ann Museum every First Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Each month, CAM partners with Rockport Brewing Co for a free beer tasting and with a practicing, contemporary artist to interpret the Museum’s collections. Enjoy a taste of local beer and watch art come to life through dance, music, performance, painting, and more.
This month, enjoy music from Carlos Menezes Jr & The DubTone Beat and a refreshing taste of Twin Lights, a Double India Pale Ale by Rockport Brewing Co. featuring the twin lighthouses from Thacher Island. Head up to the Maritime & Fisheries Galleries to take a look at the Fresnel Lens, which was once housed in Thacher Island’s south tower.
Carlos Menezes Jr & The DubTone Beat features original compositions and covers arranged to capture the traditional sounds of New Orleans Rhythm & Blues and Jamaican Ska & Rocksteady. Their soulful fusion of Caribbean meets Mississippi Delta will put the beat in your feet!
