Reverend John White, Gloucester’s first settled minister in First Parish, lived in the White-Ellery House (1710) on Gloucester’s Town Green—the community center at the time. The house provided for the basic needs of its early owners while retaining a sense of elegance and refinement that still appeals today. The tour delves into the lives of the former occupants of the house, its exterior structure and interior features, and its relocation during the construction of Route 128.
