Veterans and active military personnel and their families are invited to the Museum free of charge for specially exhibited artifacts and special programs, including a military themed tour of the collections at 2:00 p.m. and a 15-minute video montage of war photos complemented by readings of letters written by soldiers to loved ones at home. The photographs and letters, which span roughly one hundered years, from the Civil War through the Vietnam War, are from local private collections and the Museum’s Archives. The video will run all day in the auditorium.
