Every Second Saturday, the Cape Ann Museum is free for all Cape Ann Residents. Visitors of all ages are invited to head down to the CAM Studio during their visit for a new art project each month.
In honor of Earth Day, the CAM Studio will be set up for leaf rubbings during the month of April. Virginia Lee Burton Demetrios, founder of the Folly Cove Designers, would ask her students to study from the nature they saw all around them. Start your visit to the Museum in the Folly Cove Designers Gallery to see examples of artists inspired by nature. Take a look at some of Virginia Lee Burton Demetrios’ original lessons in the CAM Library & Archives, then head down to the CAM Studio to make a leaf rubbing and bring it to life with watercolor!
