Fitz Henry Lane was a Cape Ann artist, printmaker and world-renowned American marine painter. With his subtle use of gleaming light, Lane is generally regarded as one of the finest 19th century practitioners of a style known as luminism. This tour offers a view into Lane’s daily life here, as well as a look at some of the scenes he painted over a century ago.

Guided walking tours are held rain or shine and last about 1½ hours; participants should be comfortable being on their feet for that amount of time. $10 members; $20 nonmembers (includes Museum admission).
