Families with school age children are invited to discover the stories of Cape Ann veterans in the special exhibition, WWII Veterans: Portrait Photographs by Jason Grow. In the Activity Center, kids can sketch a self portrait like Union soldier and artist Addison Center, create a card for our troops today, and listen to a story provided by Cape Ann Veterans Services, Heroes in Our Neighborhood by Valerie Pfundstein.

Tabletop Activities:

• Make a thank you card for the military via Cape Ann Veteran’s Services.
• Explore Jason Grow’s portraits of Veterans then draw your own self portrait  in pastel or colored pencil.
• Using wallpaper, make a personalized sketchbook like those used by Stuart Davis.
• Use cut paper to create a granite study.
