A free concert presented by the Gloucester Lyceum and Sawyer Free Library featuring Frances Conover Fitch playing harpsichord music from the Renaissance to the present day. The occasion will be the Gloucester premier of a new instrument built for her by her husband, Gregory Bover, a project spanning more than two decades of weekend work. The concert will be a joint presentation by Ms. Fitch and Mr. Bover, with the historical context of the music explained and the construction of the instrument illustrated with drawings and photographs. This event is free and open to the public. Space is limited. First come, first served.
