CAM at Harbor Loop

Erik Ronnberg, CAM Adjunct Maritime Curator, will be on hand at Harbor Loop with a diorama of a ship model illustrating a schooner fishing off Georges Bank. Erik’s knowledge of maritime and fishing history is vast … if you’re even remotely curious about schooners and related subjects, be sure to set aside some time to talk and visit with Erik.

• CAM Docent Pat Earle will be present to talk about Joe Garland and the Gloucester Guide Walking Tours that CAM has lined up for the fall. You can pick up a copy of The Gloucester Guide here and get out on a tour of your own. Have general questions about the Museum or about becoming a member? Pat can fill you in on all that and more!
• Stop by to give a welcome to Sarah Flanagan, CAM’s new Education Coordinator. You’ll find Sarah under the tent with hands-on activities for kids. If you have kids or know kids, don’t forget to check out CAM’s upcoming youth and family programs.

CAM at the White-Ellery House
11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The historic White-Ellery House at 245 Washington Street in Gloucester is open from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the first Saturday of the month from June to October. Free and open to the public.

Activities scheduled for the day of the Schooner Festival will include:

• A slideshow about the Schooner Festival created by CAM summer intern Julia Wainwright
• A historic film on the Schooner Columbia
• Coloring sheets and sailboat origami for children
