Special Walking Tours

Special walking tours are often designed to complement a special exhibition. Past walks have included: Rockport Artists' Studios of the 1930s and A Historical Walk through Annisquam Village.

Fitz Henry Lane's Gloucester Walking Tour

The 19th century maritime painter Fitz Henry Lane (1804-1865) was a native of Gloucester.  Many of his most celebrated paintings were created within walking distance of the Museum.

Hopper's Houses Walking Tour

Painter Edward Hopper (1882-1967) was fascinated by Gloucester's 19th century vernacular houses, a perfect fit with his American realist sensibility. Stroll past a select collection of some of the houses he made famous.
